Many believe that the Lord is a cold God. He does not seem to reply to their prayers. And he seems unsociable as he does not show himself in person. They cannot feel his manifestation, hence, because apparently there is no direct connection. What they do not understand is that God desires to be nearer to us. As
Kenneth Copeland Ministries would put it, the Lord wants to begin a special and close affiliation with his people. But he cannot force us to follow his will. Only when we are prepared and disposed to accept him in our lives will he become a personal God in our private lives.
God, from the very start, has been a present and amorous God. His hands have always been outspread afar to embrace people who want to take security in him. He has been waiting for us to mind his request and abide by his direction. But it seems that his request falls on deaf ears. It is in reality us who dissociate from him. But he is not one to concede and allow us to transgress and be lost. That is why he sent his only son, Jesus, to exemplify us his wonder and stateliness.
Jesus came to the world to realize God's commitment to keep us from immorality and bring us back to his holy fold. But Jesus did not come in a godly form. Rather, he became human. As Kenneth Copeland Ministries would express it, he took upon himself flesh, and he became one of us, an unassuming human being. He was delivered to us by means of Mary, with the power of the Holy Spirit, and was born in a poor site, not in a magnificent palace. But unlike us, he was excused from the original sin because he is the begotten son of God.
Although he was the son of God, Jesus did not live an easy existence. He was not born to a noble family; rather he became a baby in a poor family with genuine hearts. Mary and Joseph gave him the parental direction every kid needs so that he would get ready to minister to God's people when he matured. As a human being, he was subject to earthly needs, anguish, and temptations. But he resisted them all and showed us the stateliness of God. And as an ultimate sacrifice, he followed God's will, took his cross, and died in order to liberate us from wickedness and give us salvation.
As the son of God, Jesus did not have to do all those sacrifices. He did not have to obey God's will. He did not have to pass away on the cross. He could have lived a life out of his own will. But he chose not to, Kenneth Copeland Ministries reminds us, as he loves us so much that he laid down his life so that we might exist. And as the obedient child of God, he followed God's will. He gave us a perfect example of how much trust we should have in God.
